Last updated:
11 September 2017

What is this?

These briefings on Gaelic Education will keep practitioners updated of some of Education Scotland’s, and key partners', support for improvement in Gaelic Education.

Who is this for?

This resource will be of particular interest to practitioners in Gaelic Education, School Leaders and Education Authority Officers.

How to use this learning and assessment resource to improve practice?

This resource will support practitioners with delivering Gaelic Medium Education, Gaelic Learner Education and Learning about Gaelic Language and Culture. Fiosrachadh mun Ghàidhlig will allow practitioners to access resources that are bespoke to Gaelic Education, enrich the curriculum and engage children and young people with their learning. Here are some reflective questions to accompany this resource:
  • How can the information in these newsletters be used to plan the curriculum?
  • How can the information in these newsletters support the development of children’s fluency in Gaelic out with school?
  • How can the information from partners be used to increase children’s use of Gaelic resources in learning and teaching?
