Introduction to Improving Gender Balance and Equalities and STEM

This introductory session, for NQTs and early career practitioners in Tayside, is relevant to all settings and will:

  • explore what are gender stereotypes and unconscious bias and what impact do these have on attainment, participation and wellbeing?
  • highlight strategies and practical approaches that help to address this including examples of good practice.
  • give an overview of STEM and outline the new STEM Nation Awards
  • include opportunities for interaction and the chance to reflect on equality and STEM within your own practice/setting.

Target Audience - Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector in Scotland and to register for the event please enter either a school/establishment/local authority or Glow email address. If you work in Scottish education and would like to attend, but do not have a glow or work email address please email with the name of your setting or service, to request a place. Thank you for your understanding.
